The community will come together on Saturday 23rd May to mark 15 years since Operation TELIC with a special remembrance service in Page Park.

The service, beginning at 12:00, is being organised by the Staple Hill and District Branch of the Royal British Legion, with musical support from the Staple Hill Salvation Army.

Operation TELIC was the United Kingdom’s military campaign in Iraq, and this anniversary provides an important opportunity to reflect on the service, sacrifice, and experiences of those who served. The event will offer a moment of remembrance for those who lost their lives, as well as recognition for all who were affected by the conflict.

The organisers are particularly keen to welcome veterans who served during Operation TELIC. This service is intended not only as an act of remembrance, but also as a chance for veterans to come together, reconnect, and be recognised by their community.

Members of the public are warmly invited to attend, stand in solidarity, and show their support for the Armed Forces community. Whether you have a personal connection to Operation TELIC or simply wish to pay your respects, your presence will help ensure that the sacrifices made are not forgotten.

No registration is required, attendees are encouraged to arrive in good time ahead of the 12:00 start.

For those who served, for those who were lost, and for those who continue to carry the legacy, this is a moment to remember, together.
