Party in the Park

The Staple Hill & District branch have been incredibly busy over the extended bank holiday and on Saturday members and supporters came together again in Page Park.

The Friends of Page Park organised a Jubilee event to bring the community together in celebration of Her Majesty The Queens Platinum Jubilee. The branch attended with their gazebo to talk to the community about the work of the Royal British Legion and sign up new members. They also had a tombola, pin the tail on the corgi and name the bear.

''We would like to thank the Friends of Page Park and in particular, Steph Purser for organising such a wonderful event. It was amazing to see the park so full with the community and buzzing with activity.
Also, thank you to those that came and supported our stall, we had great fun and we can announce that the name of the bear was Goose! Goose has now gone to his new family.'' Ian Campbell, Branch Chairman
