Branch Honours Dan Wood for Championing the Armed Forces Community
The Staple Hill and District Branch of the Royal British Legion was delighted to present Dan Wood with a certificate and branch coin, in thanks and recognition of his hard work on behalf of the Royal British Legion, its members and the local community.

Working on behalf of South Gloucestershire Council, Dan has been tireless in encouraging local organisations to sign up to and support the Armed Forces Covenant. That includes many of the town and parish councils across South Gloucestershire. The Covenant is a promise that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly. Every organisation that signs it helps make that promise real in our community.
Dan has also been a passionate champion of South Gloucestershire Armed Forces Day, helping to bring the community together each year to show support for our Armed Forces, past and present.
Ian Campbell, Chair of the Staple Hill and District Branch, said: "Dan’s support has made a real difference to the Armed Forces community across South Gloucestershire. We are grateful and proud of everything he has done, and this award is our way of saying thank you."
The presentation took place at the Bean Tree café during the South Gloucestershire Armed Forces Day Annual General Meeting.
